ALTA, Utah — One person died and another was badly injured after a small plane crashed in Little Cottonwood Canyon on Sunday.
The Salt Lake Sheriff’s Office said the plane went down in the Albion Basin area near Alta Ski Area around 5:20 p.m.
Unified Fire Authority and Alta Town Marshal personnel arrived and found one person dead at the scene, and the other person injured. They were the only two people on board.
The injured person was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition…
