A chilling episode of violence disturbed the usual calm of Salt Lake Community College’s Taylorsville (Redwood Campus) when a 16-year-old male was stabbed in what appears to be a gang-related attack while walking along Community Blvd. According to the Utah Department of Public Safety, the incident took place on Wednesday, September 3, at around 8:30 pm. The young individual reported that two Hispanic males in a white GMC truck followed him before inflicting the injury.
The victim, who sustained moderate injuries as a result of the stabbing, was transported to a local hospital and released a few hours later. While details remain sparse, the assailants have thus far eluded capture. The Utah Highway Patrol (UHP), tasked with policing the college, and the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) have joined forces in response to this crime.
