Park City police use drone to search for homelessness

The Park City Police Department received several recent reports involving the possibility of homelessness.

The cases included:

  • On Sunday, Sept. 14, at 2:05 p.m., someone reported what was described as an encampment in the area of Deer Valley. The person who contacted the police was a hiker.
  • On Thursday, Sept. 11, at 4:03 p.m., the Police Department deployed a drone above a portion of the trail along Poison Creek in the area of 11th Street and the Iron Horse district. The police reported observing a possible camp of a homeless person close to the Christian Center of Park City. A man was seen sleeping, the police said.
