Police plan extra security at general conference in Salt Lake after church shooting

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Tens of thousands of people will visit Utah for the October general conference in Salt Lake, one week after the mass shooting and fire intentionally set at a Latter-day Saint church in Michigan.

Officials with the Salt Lake City Police Department said they will have more officers on scene during the event as a safety precaution.
