SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Oct. 6, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — A 30-year-old man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly fled from a Maverik gas station pump, at 425 S. Redwood Road, and noticed that an officer turned on police lights near the stolen vehicle.
The Salt Lake City Police officer received a notice after the vehicle was seen on his vehicle camera, and he found the car, a gold Chevrolet sedan, apparently empty and at the pump, says an arrest document for Joe Anthony Peck.
The court document says the officer “observed the suspect, later identified as Joe Peck, look at me and quickly enter the vehicle. I momentarily activated my siren and positioned my vehicle directly in front of the Chevrolet. I observed Peck looking directly at me again and turning back towards the rear windshield…
