Salt Lake City Council postpones vote on changing zoning rules for West High remodeling

SALT LAKE CITY — Plans to rebuild West High School hit another roadblock as the Salt Lake City Council once again postponed voting on the school zoning.

Council member Chris Wharton said in a council meeting this week that this was a unanimous decision because some concerns about the project that were brought up in a previous meeting had not been resolved.

Those concerns include the potential removal of the school’s historic overlay and the possible congestion it could cause in the neighborhood near the school…
