SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — The five candidates running for the Third District seat on the Salt Lake City Council debated each other at 6:30 p.m. at The Other Side Academy.
District 3 is made up of The Avenues, Capitol Hill, Federal Heights, Guadalupe, and Marmalade neighborhoods. There are five candidates in this race: incumbent councilmember Chris Wharton, David Berg, Blake McClary, Jake Seastrand, and Liddy Huntsman-Hernandez.

The debate was hosted by Solutions Utah and the Other Side Academy, non-profit organizations focused on the issue of homelessness. It was moderated by ABC4’s own Brien McElhatten.
At the debate, candidates faced questions in front of an audience with firsthand experiences in homelessness and public safety.
