Developers are moving quickly toward building a new, student-focused housing project along 400 South in the East Central neighborhood that was approved by city officials earlier this month.
A demolition permit was filed Tuesday for the old OfficeMax building, located at 410 S. 900 East, according to documents submitted to Salt Lake City. The permit requested, “demolition of the existing retail building (OfficeMax) and site to make way for the student housing project planned for this site.”
