Utah Winter Weather Advisory This Afternoon: Up to 9 Inches of Snow in Western Uintas Through Monday

Salt Lake City, UT – A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 3 p.m. this afternoon through noon Monday for the Western Uinta Mountains, where accumulating snow is expected to make travel hazardous, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Salt Lake City.

Forecasters call for 3 to 9 inches of snow, mainly above 8,500 feet, with the heaviest totals near Mirror Lake Highway and Moon Lake. The snow will begin late this afternoon and continue overnight, tapering off by midday Monday.
