TAYLORSVILLE, Utah, Nov. 5, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — Friends of Mauricio Rojo, the 62-year-old motorcyclist killed Sunday in a hit-and-run crash in Taylorsville, have launched an online fundraiser to help cover his funeral expenses.
Rojo, described by loved ones as “an excellent man who was always willing to serve and help everyone around him,” was fatally injured when his motorcycle was struck near 5400 South and 1500 West. Taylorsville police say the driver who hit him fled the scene but was later arrested following a witness pursuit that led officers to a neighborhood in Murray.
“Our dear friend Mauricio Rojo was an honest and hardworking man who loved riding his motorcycle,” organizers wrote on the donation page. “It was precisely while doing one of the things he loved most that he died in a senseless accident.”…
