Students at Highland High School spread kindness through service

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — A class at Highland High School is teaching kindness and the personal benefits of serving others.

ABC4 joined the Highland High School Kindness Class as they threw a Halloween party for the fourth graders of Mountain View Elementary.

Mohammed Wahab is a senior at Highland High School and on his second time in the Kindness Class. He explained what they were doing at the Elementary School, “It’s really fun to get to work with these little kids and I was just playing bingo.”

Operation Literacy shares joy of reading with kids

The 30 High Schoolers split up into four groups: hosting the games and activities for the four different classes. The parties were fun, but this is bigger than a party. The older students are learning how to get out of themselves and help those around them…
