Assault suspect found with forged green card after getting pepper sprayed by victim, police say

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (ABC4) — A man who was taken into custody Sunday on suspicion of assault was found with a green card police believed to have been forged.

On Nov. 9, shortly before 11:30 a.m., police responded to reports of a “fight in-progress” at the Taylorsville cemetery near 4500 South and Redwood Road. Police say Enrique Medina-Linares, 46, appeared to be trying to take a woman’s purse at a bus stop.

During the altercation, documents claim Medina-Linares “forcibly shoved” the victim to the ground while attempting to take her purse…
