A heavy police presence responded to a University of Utah dormitory on Wednesday evening after receiving a ‘swatting’ hoax call of an alleged stabbing.
University Police received notice from the Salt Lake City Police Department at 7:31 p.m. about a call of a stabbing that was placed through a non-emergency line.
The suspect caller, whose identity was not confirmed, claimed to have stabbed his girlfriend at Kahlert Village, and added if officers did not respond to the scene within 20 minutes, that he would shoot up the school…
