Granite school board delays elementary school closures after heated meeting

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Dozens of parents, teachers, and neighbors filled the Granite School Board meeting Tuesday night, waiting to hear the fate of Morningside Elementary and Eastwood Elementary.

The board voted on whether to advance a proposal that would close Eastwood Elementary and end Morningside Elementary’s traditional program, or to abandon the plan entirely.
