WEST JORDAN, Utah (KUTV) — A West Jordan parent urged the Jordan School District to send attendance notifications earlier in the day, saying the current system failed to alert her when her 13-year-old daughter left school and was missing for 24 hours.
Heather Pardue said she dropped off her daughter at West Hills Middle School in West Jordan last Tuesday and believed she was in class until she received a call from the school about an hour before dismissal.
“I don’t want any other parent to have to go through what we went through,” she said.
