Millcreek man cuts hole in neighbor’s garage, steals over $1000 worth of items

MILLCREEK, Utah (ABC4) — A Millcreek man was arrested on Thursday for allegedly cutting a hole between two garages and stealing approximately $1100 worth of items.

Jason Raoul Canet, 43, was charged with one count of burglary (third-degree felony), one count of theft (Class A misdemeanor), and one count of prohibited dangerous weapon (second-degree felony).

According to court documents, Canet’s neighbor called police shortly after 12:30 p.m. on Thursday to report a burglary at his home in Millcreek. The victim stated that they lost approximately $1100 worth of items, including clothing, shoes, and games.

While on scene, law enforcement shared that Canet walked up to them and admitted to stealing the items and cutting a hole in the garage. He said that he was willing to give the items back…
