Residents face roadblock mystery in Lehi

LEHI, Utah (ABC4) — Mysterious barriers that suddenly showed up near South 2175 West in Lehi and have become the center of neighborhood conversation.

The orange barricades are blocking a widely used road and are creating unexpected detours and mixed reactions from residents.

“I was getting off Main Street, and there was a car in front of me, and we both were stuck because the cones were there and a guy in a truck was setting up cones,” Marcus Michalek said, a resident who first noticed this block over the weekend.“It is convenient when they are not there because I can get in and out of my neighborhood a lot quicker,” Michalek said.

Others, like Wilson Pulido, commute to American Fork every day. He now has to take an alternate route; one he says is longer and less safe. He says, “On one road, you can’t see both cars coming in both directions. It’s dangerous, it’s a busy road.”…
