DAVIS COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — In a 2-1 vote, the Davis County Commission voted Tuesday to increase property taxes by almost 15%.
The Board of Davis County Commissioners narrowly voted to increase taxes by 14.9% to the general fund, something that hasn’t been done for nine years. However, county leadership says they’ll still need budget cuts in order to keep up with inflation.
Commissioner Chair Lorene Kamalu and Commissioner Bob Stevenson voted in favor of the increase, while Commissioner John Crofts voted against.
