SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) – Princess the southern white rhino came to Utah’s Hogle Zoo in 1980. She is one of the longest tenured residents at the zoo and the oldest, and her age brings new challenges and opportunities for those who care for her.
Princess takes her name seriously as royalty of Utah’s Hogle Zoo.
Megan Pushie is the Animal Care Supervisor for the High Desert Oasis. She cares for the big animals at the Zoo. She explained, “We just love her. She is the princess of this barn, and she brings a lot of joy. She is old, but she still has some spunk in her.”
