A Redmond man was arrested in Utah after allegedly attempting to rob a jewelry store, according to KSL, a media outlet in Utah.
Beyker Villegas, 22, was shot Nov. 25 by a store manager after the attempted robbery and has been charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping. Nothing was taken from the store, according to reporting.
According to police, Villegas pulled a gun on the assistant manager of Sierra-West Jewelers in Orem, Utah, and gestured for him to get on the ground. He and an accomplice then attempted to duck tape another woman working there. The assistant manager then pulled his concealed firearm and fired toward Villegas.
