Second person charged in fraudulent ‘discounted’ ski pass scheme

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — A second person has been charged in connection with a multimillion-dollar scheme that fraudulently sold “discounted” ski and snowboard passes for Utah mountain resorts, using stolen bank card information to defraud the resorts.

Jonathan Rembert, 41, of Fort Mill, South Carolina, was charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud, conspiracy to commit mail fraud, possession of 15 or more unauthorized access devices, and aggravated identity theft. He was indicted by a federal grand jury on Wednesday, Dec. 10…
