SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Salt Lake Police Department (SLCPD) hosted their annual holiday “Police Pay It Forward” event on Saturday.
The event, supported by donations to the Salt Lake City Police Foundation, provides students in the Salt Lake City School District with the opportunity to shop for their holiday gifts.
According to Sgt. Greg Wilking, SLCPD, the event takes place every year around the beginning of December. Each student is partnered with an SLCPD officer who takes them shopping for gifts and clothes.
