Police arrest suspect in deadly RV shooting, alleged Molotov Cocktail attempt

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Police have arrested a 36-year-old man in connection with a deadly shooting outside an RV in Sugar House, where investigators say the suspect also attempted to set the vehicle on fire.

Police arrested Nathaniel Douglas Stockton Wednesday evening in connection with the murder of Steve Kallas.

Stockton was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on charges of aggravated murder, attempted aggravated arson, and 10 counts of felony discharge of a firearm.

Just after 5 a.m. Sunday, officers with the Salt Lake City Police Department found 58-year-old Steve Kallas lying near an RV in the area of 2100 South Lincoln Street. He was found with a gunshot wound to his upper chest and was holding a can of pepper spray…
