Fire heavily damages Salt Lake City home, displaces family of seven

SALT LAKE CITY, Dec. 20, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — A fast moving fire spread through a home and attached garage Saturday night in Salt Lake City, forcing a family of seven from the residence, according to the Salt Lake City Fire Department.

Fire crews responded to multiple calls reporting a fire near 1100 South Concord St. about 10 p.m. Upon arrival firefighters found a garage fully involved in flames, with heavy fire spreading into the rest of the home, said SLCFD Public Information Officer Capt. Chad Jepperson, who spoke with Gephardt Daily.

Crews launched an aggressive fire attack and were able to bring the fire under control in about 20 minutes, meaning it was no longer spreading, Jepperson said…
