DRAPER, Utah (ABC4) — The Draper City Park is wrapping up its holiday display on Jan. 1, 2026. Until then, the lights will be on nightly from 5-10 p.m. and 5-8 a.m. in the mornings.
Located at 12500 S 1300 E, the park is home to the Tree of Light, a weeping willow that features over 1,000 strands of white lights. Some members of the community refer to it as the “Tree of Life” for its resemblance to illustrations of the tree from Lehi’s dream in the Book of Mormon that represents the love of God.
“Spend some time with the ones you love in the glow of three million lights before they’re turned off for the season,” Draper City Government wrote in a Facebook post.
The display, first held in 2008, has always been a popular destination for marriage proposals and wedding photos. The tree is also a year-round site for drum circles and candlelight vigils.
