SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — On Dec. 26, police PIT-maneuvered a suspect near the Salt Lake City International Airport (SLCIA). ABC4 has acquired footage of the crash and the suspect being taken into custody.
Last week, SLCPD officers intentionally used a Precision Immobilization Technique, or PIT-maneuver, on a vehicle on Bangerter Highway near the SLCIA after a police pursuit. Due to the crash, there were significant delays leading into the airport that impacted drivers for several hours.

ABC4 has acquired security footage via a public records request which shows the pursuit and PIT maneuver, and the arrest of the suspect.
