SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — A Salt Lake City mother is accused of physically abusing her children and telling them to lie to their school and police about what happened.
The woman, whom ABC4 is not identifying to protect her children’s identities, is charged with two counts of tampering with a witness, one count of obstruction of justice, and three counts of intentional or knowing child abuse.
According to court documents, the Salt Lake City Police Department began investigating a 9-year-old child who reported that she had been abused by her mother. The 9-year-old told law enforcement that her mother had hit her in the face while wearing rings and pulled her arms away when she tried to protect herself.
