Utah developer says no deal on ICE detention center

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — A real estate company with property, which some speculated ICE was considering for a new Utah detention center, threw cold water on the deal Saturday afternoon.

“The Ritchie Group and its investors have no plans to sell or lease the property in question to the federal government,” said a statement from the firm.

2News was at the building on Friday, at 1197 N. 6880 W. — a vast, empty warehouse.
