The streets of West Valley City are set to get a little quieter after a veteran of the Utah law enforcement community announced his retirement. Detective Esplin, who has been putting on the badge for two solid decades, is stepping down. According to a social media post from the West Valley City Police Department, Esplin spent his last five years serving the citizens of West Valley City, with a prior stint of 15 years at the Utah Highway Patrol, beginning his career at the Davis County Sheriff’s Department.
