Driving the news: The Salt Lake Film Society is in the process of replacing the old-timey seats at Broadway Centre Cinemas.
Why it matters: While commercial theater chains across the valley upgraded their seating years ago, fans of independent and classic films have been doing warm-up stretches and fluffing their improvised coat nests before settling in against the head rests from hell.
