Salt Lake Soaks Up Weekend Sun Before Storms Crash the Party

Salt Lake City woke up to clear skies and mid-30s this morning, right around 34°F, and the calm, dry setup is sticking around for the weekend. Expect a mild couple of days with sunny afternoons and highs climbing into the upper 50s today. Light winds and good visibility should make it an easy win for outdoor plans across the valley.

Saturday stays sunny with a high near 58°F and a gentle west-northwest breeze around 5 mph, with temperatures slipping a couple of degrees late in the afternoon. Tonight will be mostly clear with a low near 37°F, and Sunday is on track to be mostly sunny with a high near 60°F. A slight chance of light rain sneaks back in late Sunday night into Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service in Salt Lake City.
