SALT LAKE CITY — Firefighters evacuated residents and put out a fire in a Salt Lake City apartment complex on Wednesday morning.
The Salt Lake City Fire Department said the fire was at the Canyon Road Towers at 123 E. 2nd Avenue at about 9:20 a.m. It was reportedly under control by 9:45 a.m., but fire crews were still working to ventilate the building and evacuate residents at that time.
Cpt. Chad Jepperson with Salt Lake Fire said there were no reported injuries to residents or firefighters. He said the fire started on the 11th floor pf the highrise apartments, and when fire crews arrived, they saw smoke coming from the balcony…
