SUMIT COUNTY, Utah — Emergency crews responded to three separate traffic accidents on westbound I-80 in Echo Canyon as rapidly changing weather created slick and hazardous driving conditions throughout Thursday, according to North Summit Fire.

Although the accidents happened at separate times, they were all near each other, at mile markers 168, 169, and 187. “Echo Canyon is known for sudden weather shifts, and today was a strong reminder of how quickly conditions can deteriorate,” North Summit Fire wrote on their social media.
