SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Feb. 18, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — A convicted child sex offender from Mexico was sentenced Wednesday to 41 months in prison by Senior U.S. District Court Judge Dale A. Kimball for illegally reentering the United States.
Isidro De Jesus-Mayo previously had been deported after illegal entry three times, a news release from the Department of Justice, U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of Utah says.
De Jesus-Mayo, 44, of Mexico, was charged by felony information on Dec. 17 of last year. In addition to his term of imprisonment, the court imposed a sentence of three years of supervised release. Upon his release from imprisonment, De Jesus-Mayo will be remanded to the custody of the Federal Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement for deportation proceedings…
