Left Fork Grill, the family-run diner that has anchored South Salt Lake for nearly two decades, will serve its last meal on April 5. Owners shared the news this week in a social media post, giving regulars a little over a month for return visits before the 19-year run that began in 2006 officially comes to an end.

According to Gastronomic Salt Lake City, the restaurant announced on Instagram that “we have made the difficult decision to close Left Fork Grill permanently.” The post set April 5 as the final day of service. While the advance notice lets loyal customers schedule a farewell visit, the message did not offer any further explanation for the decision.

The diner opened in 2006 under chef Jeff Masten, building a reputation for hearty comfort food and house-baked pies, as reported by The Salt Lake Tribune.
