SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — A young girl was killed in a backcountry avalanche near Brighton Resort.
Brighton Ski Patrol and Wasatch Backcountry Rescue were first to respond to the scene at approximately 2:49 p.m. on Thursday.
They located a girl on the slide path, who they said was between 10 and 13 years old, and immediately provided first aid. She was transported by ambulance to an area hospital in critical condition…
