SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Feb. 22, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — A 34-year-old man was arrested Saturday afternoon after he allegedly entered the apartment of a woman he didn’t know at 2 a.m., refused to leave, took a shower using her products, and told her he had been “watching her plus loving her for the past six months.”
An arrest document filed for Chadwell Clement Smith says he entered the apartment, in the area of 700 East and 700 South, when the resident left her door open a crack at 2 a.m. to let her dog out.
She then went to her bathroom and reportedly heard a voice inside her apartment asking, “Hello, anyone there?” The victim then found Smith, whom she did not know, inside her apartment, says the statement, filed by an officer of the Salt Lake City Police Department…
