Homeowner finds bullet holes in garage door, police standoff with neighbors ensues

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah (ABC4) — A homeowner called 911 after finding two bullet holes in her garage door Sunday. After an hours-long standoff, police made an arrest in connection with the shooting.

On Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026, Donovan Michael-Dyrda Sandrey, 41, was arrested and booked on charges including felony discharge of a firearm, a third-degree felony; improper discharge of a dangerous weapon, a class B misdemeanor; and assault with substantial injury, a class A misdemeanor.

Officials with the South Jordan Police Department say they were dispatched to a homeowner who had found two bullet holes in her garage. She also noticed the front windows of her neighbor’s house had been broken, along with a large amount of blood on the broken glass…
