SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — A man remains in critical condition after being caught in an avalanche last Saturday. It happened in Big Cottonwood Canyon, and new photos from the Utah Avalanche Center show the area.
Fifty-seven-year-old Kevin Williams was one of two people who were buried in the avalanche. It was initially reported that he had died, but that was corrected, and he is now in critical condition with no clear indication of how things could go.
Williams is described by a close family friend and neighbor of 20 years, Nate Burbidge, as a loving family man.
