Police: How The Arrest Unfolded
Officers were called to the area near 8200 South and 865 East after witnesses reported that a man had climbed in through a garage window and begun chasing occupants with a pool cue. An officer fired a less-lethal foam baton round, and a K9 was deployed. The dog bit the suspect, who was later taken to a hospital for treatment, as reported by FOX13. Police say the suspect told medical staff he had been drinking and had smoked marijuana before the break-in.
