Police search for suspect after armed robbery in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Officers responded to an AT&T store in Salt Lake City for an armed robbery and are currently looking for the suspect.

According to Cody Lougy, with the Salt Lake City Police Department (SLCPD), around 7:53 p.m., they responded to an AT&T store near 2200 S and 1300 E. They learned that the suspect entered the store with a weapon and attempted to rob the store.

While police have not disclosed whether or not the suspect actually stole anything, they did say that he fled the scene and is not in custody. Currently, they are actively investigating the incident and looking for the suspect, who they described as an African American adult male…
