SALT LAKE CITY, UT (GOOD THINGS UTAH) – Utah’s first Halal restaurant, Curry in a Hurry, specializes in Indian and Pakistani cuisine. Halal means that the animals are blessed before slaughter and the food does not contain pork, alcohol or blood. Mona and her son Chef Basha Nisar came to the GTU kitchen to talk about their restaurant located on State Street in Salt Lake City since 1998.
