Neighbors demand answers after deadly crash on unfinished road

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (ABC4) — Neighbors are fired up about a dirt road along 4100 South and 8400 West, that they say was supposed to be fixed up years ago. After a 15-year-old died in a rollover crash earlier this week, many say this long-standing safety concerns need to be addressed.

On March 3, 2026, a 15-year-old was ejected from a vehicle following a crash around 4100 South and 8400 West, in West Valley City. Four other teenagers were injured and taken to the hospital and four others were involved, but uninjured.

Both Magna and West Valley City appear to be pointing to each other when it comes to who is responsible for finishing the road. After multiple back-and-forth conversations with both cities, ABC4 spoke with neighbors who say they’re tired of waiting for answers…
