SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — A worker slipped from a ladder and fell into a 20-foot deep vault at Skyline High School, which is undergoing partial demolition.
The worker wasn’t able to climb out, so several crews with Unified Fire Authority packaged them in a full-body harness and used ropes and “mechanical advantage” to haul them out vertically.
A HAZMAT team also monitored the enclosed space for hazardous materials.
