For the last five months, the Jenson Family of Idaho Falls, Idaho, has traveled hundreds of miles to multiple doctors to determine why the right half of their 6-year-old Valerie’s body — from her fingers to her toes — appears to be shrinking.
Her mom Katelynn Jensen recalls when the health issues started back in September. When Valerie said her legs hurt, Katelynn assumed it was normal growing pains. Then it got worse.
