Identities released of two men arrested in connection to shooting in downtown Salt Lake

SALT LAKE City (KUTV) — Two men were arrested after a fight involving 20 people at a Salt Lake City bar ended with a shooting that left one person with life-threatening injuries, officials said.

Officers with the Salt Lake City Police Department responded to the area of 200 South and 200 East around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they reportedly located a man with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. The man was transported to the hospital in critical condition and underwent surgery.

Police said the incident broke out inside a bar located at 165 East and 200 South, where witnesses reported a large fight involving 20 people. The altercation reportedly spilled onto the sidewalk outside of the bar before shots were fired.
