Commercial fire in Salt Lake City leaves one firefighter with minor injuries

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — A commercial fire in Salt Lake City forced road closures on Saturday afternoon.

According to Captain Jeff Kauffmann with the Salt Lake City Fire Department, a fire broke out in an unoccupied business at 1597 S Main at approximately 1:45 p.m. on Saturday.

Man arrested, accused of assaulting, strangling girlfriend after punching through door

Kauffmann said fire crews performed an aggressive attack and search. More units arrived on scene to assist after the fire rose to a second alarm. One firefighter sustained minor injuries.

It is now under control; however, traffic was affected between 1300 and 1700 S Main while the road was closed…
