Salt Lake City is reviewing a request from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to close parts of several downtown streets during the 2027 Temple Reopening Celebration. The closures would run from March through October 2027 and include:
- Full closures: North Temple (Main St. to West Temple) and West Temple (North Temple to South Temple)
- Partial lane closures: South Temple (Main St. to West Temple, bus lane), North Temple (200 West to West Temple, eastbound lanes), and West Temple (200 North to North Temple, one northbound lane)
