Redwood Road was once again the scene of tragedy on Wednesday, when a pedestrian was hit and killed near the 1500 South block in Salt Lake City, according to officials. Emergency crews responded to the crash and pronounced the person dead at the scene, briefly shutting down lanes and rerouting drivers while investigators combed through the area.
According to KSL-TV, Lt. Dan Davis of the Salt Lake City Police Department said the incident remains under active investigation. KSL reported that officers diverted southbound traffic at California Avenue and Redwood Road and redirected northbound traffic at 1700 South and Redwood Road while they processed the scene.
