‘The narrative isn’t right’: Kearns officials speak after murder-suicide, other recent shootings

KEARNS, Utah (ABC4) — After a string of shootings in Kearns over the last two months, ABC4’s Mckenzie Diaz spoke with local officials and residents to understand the bigger picture of crime in the area and how they’re working to change things.

On Monday night, two people were killed and two people were injuredduring an apparent murder-suicide near 4100 W Twilight Drive. Unfortunately, this is far from the only shooting that Kearns has made headlines for over the last two months.

On March 19, a man was shot and critically injured near the area of 4067 W 4865 S in Kearns, an incident which officers believe was an isolated incident and likely gang related. Multiple schools in the area went on secure protocol out of an abundance of caution…
